The inaugural day of the Tibet Festival (September 3–5) commenced today in New Delhi, bringing together community leaders, scholars, and advocates for a significant cultural and intellectual exchange. ​A delegation from the Indian Uyghur Society (IUS), led by President Wasim Abdullah and General Secretary Talat Feroz, attended the opening ceremonies at the invitation of the organizing Tibetan associations. The IUS delegation met with His Excellency Penpa Tsering, Sikyong of the Central Tibetan Administration, to discuss shared advocacy priorities, solidarity, and collaborative pathways forward.
