Indian Uyghur Society Expresses Solidarity with India and Condemns Pakistan's Aggression

SRINAGAR — On behalf of the global Uyghur community, the Indian Uyghur Society (IUS) expresses its unwavering support and solidarity with the people, the Armed Forces, and the Government of India in the face of ongoing aggression and security challenges emanating from Pakistan. As a community that has endured decades of state-sponsored repression and violence, Uyghurs stand firmly with India as it upholds its sovereignty, security, and the values of peace and stability in the region.

IUS strongly condemns Pakistan’s continued support and safe haven for terrorist groups that destabilize South Asia and threaten the lives of innocent civilians. Terrorism and extremism, in any form and under any pretext, are irreconcilable with the principles of human dignity, justice, and peaceful coexistence. The Uyghur community knows all too well how such forces are exploited to justify repression, collective punishment, and the erosion of fundamental rights.

“As a people who have suffered persecution and injustice, we deeply understand the vital importance of territorial integrity, national security, and the right of all people to live in peace,” said Wasim Abdullah, President of the Indian Uyghur Society. “We commend India’s commitment to countering terrorism and maintaining stability in South Asia, and we stand shoulder to shoulder with the Indian people in this struggle.”

The Indian Uyghur Society reaffirms its dedication to fostering friendship, cooperation, and mutual respect with the people of India. IUS calls on the international community to support India’s efforts against terrorism and to work collectively toward a safer, more stable, and more just region for all.
